  1. We often learn through singing! I believe our parents would enjoy seeing a video of us singing as a group or learning at circle time.

  2. It would be great for teacher privacy and also parents privacy within the directory whilst still being able to communicate, to have an internal messaging system within your software, with internal inboxes for each parent and member of staff.

  3. It would be great to have an option to write and post weekly newsletters about goings on in the classroom. Currently, if the information is added to the Observations/Activity section, any formatting, such as bulleting, is posted as one big paragraph. I would like to be able to have options to change text, adjust space between paragraphs, etc. We would like to be able to use TC for all of communication and parent education needs.

  4. Perhaps through meeting notes, or on the Activity page, create a system for tracking behavior. Perhaps along with each behavioral observation certain data could be entered so that trends can be more easily analyzed (time of day, location, possible motivation, classmates/adult involved, type of behavior). This data could then be linked to some sort of spreadsheet or other system that would help create a visual of the data.

  6. I like to use TC to record anecdotal observations, often about social-emotional behaviors or quotes from a child.

The problem is that when I record my lessons, the anecdotal observations get completely drowned in the the presentation posts!

For example, I might write "Tina spilled her milk on the floor, and Lisa offered to help and fetched her a towel without prompting."

But none of the other teachers (or myself later) will see this observation, because in the same day, there are 25 of:

"James was introduced to the timeline of life"
"James was introduced to the timeline of life"…

  7. Allow parents to be able to access and edit previously submitted forms about their child when they need to update information - food preferences, immunization records, attendance at a workshop, etc. Send the school a new notification when the form gets updated and resubmitted.

  8. I sometimes have to reject forms due to them being filled out incorrectly or incomplete. It would be nice to have an area to write why the form is being rejected to result in faster turn around of rejected forms.

  10. I would love to be able to record when a lesson is reintroduced and to be able to see the dates of the original and the reintroduced lesson. This would be great for children who may need a lot of review, or even groups of children who are seeing a lesson for a second time as an older child (common in elementary).

I know administrators can change flag labels across the school (this could be simpler modification), but my school is primarily 0-6, where this type of label is not wanted as an option for the whole school.

  11. For those of us who are forgetful it would be great to somehow be reminded when it’s a child’s birthday without having to look at the birthday screen. A special icon on the attendance page, perhaps?

  12. Hi,

I would like to be able to send invoices and recurrent invoice to parents with the month fee, workshops lateness pickup fee etc. right now I have to use an excel sheet and to everything manually. In the mean time, any recommendation about a good and easy to use software is welcome!

    Thanks

  13. It would be great to be able to create forms that do not have to go to the parents immediately or at all. We are especially wanting this for incident forms and behavior tracking as we would like to be able to fill out internal forms that could remain in the child's record but not be seen by parents, or could be released to parents at a later date. (also a way to internally edit forms without it alerting parents. In order for us to make an update or change to a child's health form or registration form we have…

  14. Add a parent e-signature feature to Conference Reports. This way parents have to confirm they received a conference or incident report. It is also easier for teachers to input information specifically for an incident report without the parent being able to edit in (as they would in a form).

  15. As of right now, we have the health checks in the parent sign in section. This makes it difficult because we have to click on each individual child, add a note and then click on which symptoms they have (also making it private because parents don't need to see this). Since parent's are not using this feature, I was hoping that the symptoms could be moved to the attendance tab in the notes (along with the private button). This way when we are taking attendance, we can also do the health checks in one spot for multiple children. Thanks so…

  16. Is it possible to add all the features the website version has to the mobile app? It seems that the app is only used to take photos. The mobile app would be more beneficial if all the website features were included, especially for those who are mainly mobile/tablet users. Mobile users typically have to use both the web & mobile to navigate TC. It’ll be nice to have two options based on teachers preference.

  17. Currently, parents can only leave notes during drop-off and pick-up. By enabling this functionality, parents can send notes during the day and Transparent Classroom can better become the single conduit for parent-guide communication.

  18. Is there a way to have a staff sign in attendance page, just like your attendance page? with a report etc?? Without adding them as students and having them on the actual sign in page?? Maybe another tab on the attendance sheet?

  20. Sometimes we need to print the conference reports for a class of children - We would like to 'batch' print all and so that each child's report started on a new page. The option to download the reports as PDFs to save on our main server would also be use. Currently the print option create on whole PDF document.
