Parent Usage Tracking
We would like to have a report built that would generate the parent usage of the app detailing what pages/documents they are accessing as well as times they are using the app so that we can analyze the functionality of the app for our school's communication needs. This is especially important during the closure due to COVID19 and we navigate online learning

Add Nickname field
Add a Nickname field. For reports, the formal name can be used, for daily use and navigation in the differenat areas, the nicknames would be better. Or as an option, give teachers the choice whether to use nicknames or formal names in reports, and in each area of Transparante Classroom.

Flag data collecting
We are looking for a feature to identify/ make notes about children development, how they are doing academically, socially and emotionally. We call this flags, it help us identify children with learning difficulties with a reg flags, children showing some regression due to home situations that is impacting them academically ,social and emotional orange flags. Children that are meeting all academic, social and emotional criteria, green flags. This is a done on an excel spread sheet monthly graphing how the children are improved or where we see regression.

Current Age - Classroom Placement
On the classroom placement list, it shows us the age of the children when they joined our class.
For a school like ours who welcome children all year round, it can affect the balance of our ages, as they are not 'up-to-date' ages. It then requires us to manually look up each group, which is more time consuming.
Could we have a list that also lists the current ages of the children?

Can we have a function that parent will receive an email reminder that their kids are late for school?

Notification when parent changes email
When a parent changes their email on their profile or via a form, list this as a change on the changes report. Right now we don't have any way to know which parents have updated their email address (also their login) in order to update other school systems.

Search by Name among Applications
To be able to conduct a search for a child's name in the Applications section (whether pending, accepted, waitlisted, rejected) instead of having to scroll through the list.

Conference reports of meetings with staff
I would like to suggest that it be possible to register conference reports of meetings with staff, the same way we register conference reports with families, in order to collect them all and be able to check them by all staff members if needed.

limited access page for children to record their lessons
If children could access a page to record lessons they've had, and then I could visit and confirm to update records, that would give them more responsibility and me more freedom.

Allow teachers to reorder children's names in different ways for different subjects and have it stick.
When I teach math, I have certain groups based on ability, as I do with word study. Having those names next to each other in their columns helps with the efficiency of planning, but they are not the same names I'd like to to have grouped together in language because children high in one area are often low in the other. It'd be great if the order the names appear could be set differently for each subject and saved that way.

Reading Mode
When using an iPad it would be nice to have a "reading" only mode so that when we scroll down we dont accidentally click on a lesson or change the status of a lesson. I was just trying to look through what all the kids are doing (I'm taking over a class and learning this new system) and any time I scrolled I accidentally clicked on multiple lessons and had to go back and undo a few of them. Thanks for allowing us to give feedback :)

When starting to use Transparent Classroom have a way to indicate lessons given in the past or mastery achieved, w/o it looking like now
I'm starting to use this awesome product, and I find myself inputting lessons given prior to when I used it, or activities which were mastered previously, just so that it looks "right" to me when I look at progress and planning. When I run reports, which I have to turn in to administration, it looks like everything happened just now. I guess I could manually go in and change the dates, but it would be nice if there were an option which would indicate prior knowledge.
4 votesWe are working on adding this functionality. In the meantime, feel free to record the times when you started and stopped entering lessons from the past. You can then shoot us an email and we can change the dates just for those presentations for you.

Automatically add the date of pictures uploaded using photo data
Right now we have to go back to our photos archive on our server to get the date of a picture we've taken. It would be a great help if the pictures we upload were sorted by the date given by the photo.

When using the @allchildren option please add commas between each child's name.
I've noticed that when I use the @allchildren option, it lists the children but there are no commas. In order to make my sentence using each child's name grammatically correct (as teachers should do, of course!), I go back through and add commas manually... I'd love to save time and skip that step! Please add the commas when providing the list of children.
