Lesson page shows mapped standards.
When you go to the lesson page, it should show you all the standards mapped to that lesson. We should only show standards that the school cares about.

color-code the subject area text
I am trying out the new lesson plan feature (just learned about it at NAMTA, and am excited to give it a try!). So one idea to enhance it could be if the subject area texts were color-coded. Then at a glance one could see how the balance is in subject areas each day, (such as yikes, all math on Tuesday! )and then make it easier to adjust the flow accordingly as one wishes.
Thank you for all that you're doing to make it easier for us!

Age + Gender Classroom Placement
I would love to see the Classroom Placement tool modified to include an age with gender view to help be sure that all of the 4 year olds in a class aren't boys (or girls) so that there are generally the same number of each gender within each age set.

Make it possible to jump to a specific date/date range in Activity
Make it possible to view the lessons that were given on a specific date or range of dates by jumping straight to it. Currently, you must scroll through all the posts to find the correct date. When needing to enter a lesson that may have been missed being entered in the past, you then have to scroll to the top of the Activity page to enter, then scroll back down to the date/date range you were searching for.

make it possible to filter and view ONLY lessons that have already been introduced.
It is good to see all the lessons, but would be great for parents (and maybe teachers?) to see just those lessons that have already been presented, rather than searching through 300 items.

remove tagged names from text messages to parents.
It looks clunky and is tedious to wade through @thirty_children every time I am texted a photo or message for the entire class. Can you prevent these tags from showing up in the text message?

Can you tell me more about this? Why would you want this as an iPad app as opposed to an iPad friendly website?

Allow teachers to reorder children's names in different ways for different subjects and have it stick.
When I teach math, I have certain groups based on ability, as I do with word study. Having those names next to each other in their columns helps with the efficiency of planning, but they are not the same names I'd like to to have grouped together in language because children high in one area are often low in the other. It'd be great if the order the names appear could be set differently for each subject and saved that way.

Generate a new conference report by copying a prior report from the same student
This way, we can fill in the Fall info on a fall report, and come winter time we can make a copy of the fall report so that the fall column keeps whatever we wrote in that report, and then we can fill in the Winter column. This way we can progressively build toward the final report of the year, but without losing the copies of the old report as they existed when we wrote them.

A better way to view applicants...
I would like to be able to move those that have completed a tour/parent interview to the bottom of the page. It would also be nice to select it to be organized different ways (ie: by birthdate (instead of age as of start date), or by last received).

photo download feature
We have parents who make shutterfly yearbooks at the end of each year. We would like a way to share the photos taken throughout the year with them. Downloading all and giving it to them on a drive is how we have done it in the past from iphoto. We are open to other solutions just need a way for our parent volunteers to access them all.

tagging children and lessons from the app.
It would be beneficial is the iphone app let you tag children and lessons in the pictures.
Also attendance from the app would be helpful to. I can't use that part of TC because I have no computer in my classroom.20 votes -
limited access page for children to record their lessons
If children could access a page to record lessons they've had, and then I could visit and confirm to update records, that would give them more responsibility and me more freedom.

Enter a new lesson from activity page
When I type #MyNewLesson, and I should get a dropdown that has the option "Create this lesson" so that i don't have to go to a different page to create the lesson.
9 votesThis is a good idea, we just need to get to it, priority wise

Allow pictures to be moved from one classroom to another.
We have some students who spend the morning in one class, and Extended Day in another. If I take a picture of a child from the other classroom through the app, I cannot tag the child.
3 votesThis is a good idea. It’s just a matter of prioritization. For now you can work around it by downloading the image and uploading it in the other classroom.
