Parent View
As a person who is fielding questions from parents on how to use Transparent Classroom it would be helpful for me to be able to view their child's page as a parent instead of an administrator.
I am not sure what they are seeing so it is hard for me to know if I am giving them the right information.1 voteThis already exists when you login as a parent.

Individual Child's Lesson Progress
I would like to be able to click on a child's name and see a list / grid of the lessons they've been presented and their progress on those lessons. No information about who else they worked with needed, just a list of child's lessons with their progress. This would be helpful towards gauging how they are completing work.
3 votesI think this already exists, unless I’m not understanding you. Go to a child’s profile page and click on the Progress tab. Is that what you’re looking for?

online parent-teacher conference sign up schedule
it would be great for parents to be able to login and sign up for events such as parent-teacher conferences and other school events
10 votesYou can do this today by embedding a Google Sheet in a page for parents to see.
This is a help center article that walks you through how to do it. https://support.transparentclassroom.com/hc/en-us/articles/233067008

You can put 2 signature fields on the form today, and indicate that one is for “Parent 1” and one if for “Parent 2”. But it gets tricky because each parent will have to login separately in order to sign this form. Then if the child only has 1 parent, you won’t be able to require the 2nd signature, and what if the child has 3? I would talk to a legal counsel and see what you can do with our system as it is.

generic classroom setup for non-montessori areas of the school
We would like for our after school class teachers (music, Lego, cooking, etc) to be able to post about what is going on each week, but at the moment they have to select "primary" or "toddler," etc, and everything is limited by those rules. Could there be a way to have just a generic classroom where plain text observations can be included? Our after care for half-day primary could also benefit from this, where napping can be listed, but we also do after care for elementary students so having it only for primary doesn't really work well. It would be…

Make it easier to edit a child's grade level.
As it is, I do not know how to edit this other than to re-enter the child in a spreadsheet. We have a student who switched grades and I don't know how to change that easily.
1 votewe can do this already :)

Private area for observations
Create an area for guides' eyes only to record observations that is always locked and unavailable to parents.
8 votesYou can make all of your activity private, or make individual observations / presentations private. This is probably what we will support for the foreseeable future.

Export Form Data to a spreadsheet
I would like to make a permissions form like "Can we apply bug spray to your child?" or "Can we apply sunblock" or "Do we have permission to use your child's photo on Facebook?" etc...I would like to be able to export the form and see ALL the responses so I can post it in each class for the guides.
3 votesYou can do this today. Please feel free to watch our forms tutorial video ([Help] > [Tutorials]). Once you’ve assigned a form like this to parents, and they have filled it out, you can go to form responses and download it as a spreadsheet into excel. Good luck!

Provide a sandbox
sometimes it would be nice to test features, or just get accustomed with the system, without messing with the current active classroom. I'd love to have a default sandbox classroom that I could go wild on, and it won't affect any real children, nor billing :-)

I want a different variety of colors on the plan and progress page other than hues of BLUE.
For example, presented can be pink, practicing can be green, mastered can blue, etc.

Upload photos from Google Photos
I would like an app or way to import pictures from Google Photos.
5 votesCool. For a big batch, we’re going to ask you to download them and then upload them from a computer. For daily, ongoing pictures, we’re working on an Android app that should hopefully make your life much easier. In the meantime, you can try emailing the pictures from your phone to your special classroom email address. That’s what most of our android users do, and it should save you a step.

Devise a way to separate observations in the activity section from photos.
Our teachers are wishing for a way to view and/or print ongoing observational notes and observations on a child without having to scroll through every lesson, picture, etc. (ie. running notes, special parent meeting notes and more).
3 votesYou can do this today. What you can do is create a “Tags” area in the lessons, and create special lessons like “Observation” or “Parent Meeting”. Then any lesson that you want to come up in your search, tag with that lesson name. You’ll be able to show just those observations for the child by going to the [child] > [Progress] page and clicking on “Observation” or “Parent Meeting”

Add a save button to the collapsible menu especially for computers with small screens.
It would be very practical:-)
1 voteThanks for your feedback. We’re not going to put it there, but we are in a slow process of making the save button more prominent and accessible on most pages. Thanks for your idea!

Enable photos to be tag to a whole classroom
For groups photos it would be nice to be able to tag the whole classroom at one time.
2 votesYou can do this, use the tag “@AllChildren”

Option of seeing only classrooms for the designated session
On the home page, we log in and have SO MANY classrooms showing up that aren't in the session we are currently working in. For example, we are in our summer session and want to see only summer classes that are designated to the summer session. When we start the school year, we want to see only the school year classes and not the summer classes.
3 votesThe way we support this is by allowing admins to mark classrooms inactive. Feel free to go into [Admin] > [Classrooms] and mark inactive any classrooms you don’t want to show up.

Allow for the design of an automatically updated Conference Report that groups lessons into a single skill
At our school we have a conference report that is connected to our skills list so that it is automatically updated as the skills list is updated. However, while the skills list lists each material, the conference report groups materials that teach a certain skill. For example, sandpaper numerals, rods and numerals, spindle boxes, numerals and counters, and memory game are separate materials on the skills list but are grouped into the skill "Correlation of Quantity and Symbol 1-9" on the Conference Report. The Conference Report is automatically updated based on the entries on the Skills List.
4 votesYou can do this today somewhat, but it will require some work on your part. If you can come up with a list of “skills”, we can import them as standards. Then we can import those skills and you can map your lessons to them. You will then be able to generate a report based on those skills. If you’re interested in doing this, let us know.

Quantify our numeric codes on conference reports
Dear TC, We are being asked by our Magnet Oversight Supervisors to quantify the math and language numbers we have been using for our Kindergarten grade reports. Other than copying each person's data and pasting it in an excel spreadsheet, would there be a way to compile the data for the Kindergartners and average the categories?
1 voteLet’s talk about this directly. Feel free to reach out to us at info@transparentclassroom.com. We can probably do something for you that will work.

Option to export Progress & Plan
It would be helpful to be able to export Progress & Plan tables to Word or Excel so it can be manipulated the way I wanted (make the writing bolder, have a table header on each page with the names of children on each page, etc.)
2 votesOur goal with Transparent Classroom is to be the place you go to in order to do your record keeping. We would much rather solve the problem that is causing you to want to leave Transparent Classroom than enable you use excel/word around our core competency. Tell us more about what’s not working for you, or the problem you are trying to solve.

Auto email for daily tracking.
We have been updating daily tracking but none of the parents are seeing it. If they received an email when the information is put in, they would be seeing it every day.
2 votesThis already exists. If you use us for attendance, parents will be emailed when they sign out their child. If you don’t, please contact us and let us know what time of day you want these to be sent out at for your school. Email us at info@transparentclassroom.com .

You add dates to when the lesson was presented last.
Dates on when each presentation was done. You should be able to have a find button to find any comments you made about that particular presentation. Also you should be able to go to plan and progress and click on that child's presentation to see all the notes you made about it.
3 votesThis already exists. Click on a lesson name to see all detail about that lesson. On the progress & plan page, right click on a square, and click the ‘…’ to see dates + comments about that child with that lesson.
