  1. As a public school it would be great to create a daily/weekly lesson plan where we can input/add other areas/subjects we plan along with the Montessori lessons. We currently use transparent classroom to plan and record Montessori lessons but have to use another form to create/submit lesson plans for (Guided Reading)

  2. As a school, we have developed benchmark targets for each each grade by marking period. For example, our first years have 4 math benchmarks throughout the year, one for each marking period. Teachers enter data (introduced, practicing, etc) for each child, but there is no easy way for us to look at how many of our first year students are meeting the benchmark at the end of each marking period. We can look at the data in progress and plan, however that is organized by class and since our classes are multi-age that is not helpful.

  3. As an administrator, it is helpful to look at the lesson plans in the weekly planning section to see which lessons have been given and then which have been planned coming up. As it works now, there is no way for me to tell what the actual changes are from week to week. For example, if a teacher has made no changes to lesson plans in a month, it would still appear as if recent lessons were delivered and planned. I suggest we add a feature admins could click on which would highlight which lessons were new in the planned…

  5. As we already have language option for web page, we should have same option on app. I believe parents would use the cellphone app more often. it will be more convenient.

  8. My assistant is typically the one to tag uploaded photos each day. She marks the activity “private” so that I can review the entry before making it viewable by parents. Currently it is incredibly time consuming to go back through and click each photo, click edit, uncheck the “private” box, and press save. It would be so helpful to be able to accomplish the same thing with a single click and with photos all shown in a row.

  9. Have the enrollment date and summary transferred over to newly generated reports from previous reports along with the previous information from the former report. This way, I do not have to cut and paste these in with the rest of the information that was already transferred. This is time consuming.

We're thinking of having someone work on the standards for our regions Early Years Curriculum Framework however this will be at a significant cost to us and are hesitant to upload the work based on this. If the standards could be locked for use only by the uploading school, it would take away this concern. If Transparent classroom wasn't keen on this thought, it could be for a year. Or two years.

  12. Right now, it's all or nothing. Super annoying. We take the time to curate the best photo content and there is not way, other than one-by-one, to download only those photos adequate for our marketing efforts.

  13. Sometimes my teachers struggle with recording their notes and lessons given into TC in a timely manner. So when they binge their record keeping, it seems like they gave a ton of lessons on one day but not for a while before. This changes the usable data when we run reports and makes the reports much less useful for me as an admin trying to keep watch over new teachers. While I am giving lots of reminders to do DAILY record-keeping, it would be really helpful if they could easily tell TC that they gave stamp game last Tuesday, and…

  16. Applicants are able to submit multiple applications for the same child. A new application is submitted each time an applicant makes a change and clicks "submit". This allows families to apply without paying the application fee. We are having a difficult time tracking payments.

  18. When looking at the parent view they often get confused, and concerned when they see other children's names if a group lesson was given. Rather than displaying each child involved in the group lesson, it would be great if the application would only display the child belonging to that child. It would allow for much better record keeping for our staff, particularly as it would save a great deal of time, more importantly, it would allow us to more easily adhere to Ferpa laws.

  19. We are a public charter school and the reasons for a child's exit differ greatly from the list that is provided. We would like to be able to edit the reasons. Currently we track the following reasons:

    Transportation issues
    Nutrition Issues
    Issue with classroom-teacher
    Issue with classroom-students
    Homeschooling
    Left for traditional school

    Because it it a required field at the very least being able to enter "other" would be nice.

    Also, what are the reporting capabilities?

  20. It would be great to be able to not only send a notice about conference reports being available but also have the option of sending a PDF (or similar). We always have issues with parents who have forgotten their passwords (because they don't use them regularly) and/or have trouble viewing the reports because they are looking on a small screen. Sending conference reports as a PDF document would solve both these issues.
