Keep a lesson as Presented, even if it's the second time it's presented
Currently, if I give a lesson to a child a second or third time, I have to choose a key other than presented. I'd rather it show the history of the presentations and not show progress if there has not been substantiative progress.
Thank you

have a way to show meeting notes for all children
Similar to how the Lesson Plan (Child Boxes) page works, it would be great to have a way to view all the meetings notes for all children. Often in conferencing we discuss all sorts of things (social, emotional, intellectual, etc.) that don't necessarily have a lesson presentation attached. I'd love to have a way to access those "to do" items for all the children without having to click back and forth to individual children.

Notification of Changes to Parent Vital Info
It would be VERY useful to be notified, either by email or a "pop-up" of some sort anytime a change is made to the parent, emergency contact, authorized pick up list. This would make sure that the information is current and that staff are aware of any changes.
5 votesIt’s not an email, but there is a page that now shows you parent changes. Go to “Admin” → “Changes” to see what’s happened. For now, you could add it to someone’s weekly process to just have a look at that page for any changes.

Recording individual letters
Is there a way to keep track of individual letters individually. I find it valuable to know that I have presented, for instance "a", to a child 10 times and that they still do not know it.

Directory of entire school
We have two Children's House classrooms which mix outdoors and a lot of siblings in different levels- Elementary, CH, Nido, and YCC. Our parent community has always had a directory of all children's contacts so they can have playdates between classes and arrange school events. Is it possible to have an option for parents to see all class contact information, not just their own? We are spending a lot of time contacting parents for other parents since moving to this system and losing our previous whole school directory.
1 voteWe have schools that want this to go in opposite directions! What we can do now is download the entire school’s information as a spreadsheet. Then you can customize what info is and isn’t there for parents and distribute as you see fit.

should make sub-sets of following lessons with same materials, rather than list them separately
Geometric cabinet: list each drawer under it, as separate activity.
1 voteGo for it! Feel free to change your lessons to reflect this structure. With the new design, you should easily be able to have an additional group there OR you could call them Geometric Cabinet: …. The colon is special and will keep the app from repeating itself in lesson planning, for example.
We can do a phone call if this is confusing…

Add an "All Children" option on the lesson planning page.
I sometimes do a full group lesson and it would be easier to record it from the lesson planning page if I could simply type out "All Children" like we can do for photo tagging.

Enable reports that show date lesson introduced and date mastered
As part of our inspections we need to generate reports showing when lessons were introduced and when they were mastered in order to show the average rate of time for progression etc.
It would be great if in the conference reports these dates could be included73 votesWe’re pleased to say that you can now generate reports that show the dates for which a child has received progress in lessons over a specified time window. You can find it by going to [Reports] > [Child Lesson Proficiency Over Time].
Any feedback is welcome! Please write in to info@transparentclassroom.com to let us know if this report works for you, or how it could be better. We carefully consider all feedback we receive.

I wish I could easily make groups of students so in the activity log, I could simply type @5thyears or @currenteventscommittee
Certain groups of students always work together or certain groups receive the same math lessons, so this could save a lot of time. In the "Children" tab, you could simply create a group based on any criteria of your choosing.
105 votesYou can now plan and record for groups of students! Read the below article to learn how to use groups in Transparent Classroom.

Tag children from other classes
I would like the ability to tag children from other classes. If we have pictures from before or aftercare, we are unable to tag those easily. During the summer, I reviewed my teacher's pictures to tag and was not able to do so because the children had been moved up to a new class.

Make the "Replan" function that appears on the daily lesson plan more accessible.
Currently, when you plan a lesson on the lessons page, a handy function appears to replan for a set group of students. As soon as you navigate away from the daily planner, this function disappears. Can you make it so these function stays and also add the "replan' function to other locations like the activity page?

Archiving students
Being able to not only unassign the student from a classroom but archive their profile and information.
7 votesHello! This is possible today. To do this, go to the child’s profile and remove the current session under “Sessions”, by clicking the “X”. The child will no longer show up in your school roster, lesson planning and record keeping pages. However, you will always be able to find their records by searching fro their name in the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You can let me know if you have any questions about how to do that by emailing info@transparentclassroom.com. Thanks!

Create Subsets of students
I want to create a subset of students. "All" includes the whole class. How can I make a "K Students" group?

Ability to print parent directory by class
We would like the ability to print a directory by class as we put a hard copy in each classroom for emergencies. The student information, when printed, only shows one parent phone number and we have many with multiple contact numbers (work, home, cell, etc).

You can now specify “other” and type in whatever you would like. On forms, you can also customize the options you share with your parents.

A place to follow-up with follow-up work in the elementary.
Whether it is assigned follow-up or child generated, I would love a place where I could record the chosen work, the children involved and the due date. I am currently keeping track of this on paper, but it would be nice to have it here.

Do not share parents' private information with their class, before they log in to TC for the first time.
Please do NOT share a parent's private information until after they log in for the first time.
When a parent logs in for the first time, they get a chance to check "Do Not Share" next to their personal information. However, if they have been invited, but never logged in, other parents can see their email, phone number, and address.
In our case, this was private information entrusted to our school when they filled out the application form. It shouldn't be disseminated to other parents without their consent.
I can edit each parent as soon as I invite them and…
