Improve the children import process
I just tried the process to import children. Here are my thoughts:
- the column headers in the CSV file are not in the same order as in the mapping (Step 2)
- would be convenient if mapping could be done automatically even the first time, if column names match exactly
- from the sample file, it is not clear what values to set:
- what is the date format for the birthday?
- what are the values for Gener? male/female. m/f? capital letters?
- when you hit Save at point 3 (session), the page jumps back to the top of the page. might be confusing,…

reminder or floating save button on conference form
We have often put a lot of work into a conference form and inadvertently lost it when switching screens to check information on a child from another part of transparent classroom.
The reminder to save or floating save button is very helpful in the other parts of the program. It would be a lifesaver in the conference form.
6 votesThis is done. There is a reminder to save on conference reports now.

Change terminology of toilet daily tracking
On the second column the choices would be:
Declined
Tried
Urinated
Bowel movementThe term "wet" doesn't seem to accurately describe urination. If they are using the potty or toilet they would not be getting wet, hopefully. :). Also the boys do not always sit so simplifying the subject would also help.
In the first column BM could also be expanded to bowel movement.
3 votesI believe we’e made improvements all around to this. Hope they work for you.

Bring back a couple features
I noticed that a few things have changed when I was adding notes in the activity section today (2/6/17). One, misspelled words use to be underlined in red and now they are not. Second, when typing lesson names several possibilities use to auto populate but now the search feature is not as intuitive. For example, I typed clock and nothing came up but I was sure that lesson was apart of our Lesson tab, when I looked up the lesson I realized it was entitled "the clock". So I had to type the lesson name exactly like that to get…

headings on progress adn plan
it would be nice if you could make each of the headings in the progress and planning section collapsable so that you don't have everything open at the same time.

Auto save for toilet daily tracking
Auto save the data from the drop down menu as soon as it is entered. Example: when "sat + wet" is selected it saves immediately instead of requiring the save button be applied.

add a Monthly plan, so we can sort lessons by weeks (1st, 2nd, etc)
We've planned the lessons in sequences further ahead than a week, but the current plan options print out everything as if it were for 1 week.
It would be great to be able to drag/ assign lessons into future weeks plans, and print them by week.
If a lesson is not given or the plan changes, we can go back and reassign that lesson into the future. We love how it works, but we planned a bit ahead of a week and ended up printing the plan, cutting and sorting lessons by week and pasting them into different pages. (lessons…

Direct link to sign in page for parents
Currently when parents receive a notification of a form, it only links them to transparentclassroom.com instead of providing a link that goes one step further and makes it quicker and easier for parents to sign in.
3 votesThe email now takes them directly to the form. If they aren’t signed in, they will be redirected to the sign in page.

Billable Aftercare
Sometimes our students are in aftercare because they have a sibling in an afterschool program and we offer complementary aftercare so they do not get billed but they are still signed in so when it comes to billing for aftercare it is challenging to decipher who is to be billed and who is not. It would be helpful to have some kind of check box or something indicating either the complementary aftercare or after care to be billed so that when I print the report it makes my life much easier.
1 voteHi Patrica,
You can customize each child’s “Normal Hours” by going to their profile and adding their schedule. Children who are within their normal hours will not show up in the minute totals for late pick up on the Attendance page, if that is what you use to calculate aftercare billing. Let us know if that doesn’t work for your school at info@transparentclassroom.com.

Add Administrative Tracking Options on each Child's Page
It would be nice to add customized buttons such as Lunch, Emergency Card, Medical Form, etc. to track if a child has submitted all the appropriate forms to the office. It would make the Admin part of Transparent Classroom so much easier and would require a separate program to track the information.
7 votesI think this is done for the fields that we support, like emergency contacts, allergies, etc. For a quick look at what forms are outstanding, I suggest going to [Children] > [Forms]

Text contrast
Hi. The light blue which seems to be the default text color has a low level of contrast to the white background, and is difficult for me to read. It would be very helpful it the text color were darker and of sharper contrast.
5 voteswe’ve darkened the blue, hope it’s enough

contrast
Really really. The text in this app needs to be in much greater contrast to the background. This is causing me a lot of trouble.

Other Adults Listed in Attendance
It would be great to have other adults listed in the attendance, but who do not have authorization to view what the child's parents can view (i.e. a grandparent) The reason for this would be that a lot of grandparents pick up and it can be time consuming for them to type their names in every time and sign it.
1 votethis already exists. Go into the child’s profile, you can specify “approved adults”. Those adults will show up on the attendance page.

The app crashes every time it's opened on iPhone.
The app crashes immediately after entering log in info.
10 votesThe app is a teacher app, now it gracefully tells parents that we don’t yet support them logging in.

Progress and Plan Pages Names
On the "Progress and Plan" page, please put the child's name at the top of each category, so that it is easier to know which column corresponds to each child. I lose track as I scroll down.
1 voteThis should already work. As you scroll, the children’s names should be “frozen” to the top of your screen. If this isn’t working for you, it’s a bug. Please let us know what browser & system/device you are using. (chrome/firefox/safari and apple/windows/iPad/etc)

Is there a "select all" option for emailing parents?
To send an email to all parents, is there a way to select all without individually clicking each box?
2 votesYes there is! On the parent page, click on a parent’s checkbox or picture to select the first one. Then select the checkbox above the first parent to select all parents on the page. You can do the same on the child page.
