Add a "start date" field
When I accept an applicant, I would like to have all forms completed by parents and have the child set up before the child appears on the roster. We have a lot of families who move into the area and want everything ready, but cannot start until a later date.

Hi Everyone,
While we review this idea there is one thing you can do about new children. When you add a new student you get to choose which session to add them to. If they are joining for the current session, but aren't actually starting school until a particular date, you can just not add them to a session. The child will be in the system, you will be able to assign and have the parents fill out and submit forms, but you will not be charged for the child, nor will the child appear in any rosters (you might have to search for the child in the searchbar or select "all sessions" when looking at the children list on the children page). Then, when the child actually starts at the school, you simply go into their profile, click on "Edit" and add them into the current session.
Feel free to email us at info@transparentclassroom.com if you have any questions about this.

Or a move up date, from toddler to primary, or half day to extended!

This is an excellent Idea! We run into the same issue sometimes.

I find this to be a problem as well. It would be nice to add a start date so they don't appear on the roster until their start date. It's nice for parents to have access to TC in order to fill out necessary forms for TC, but sometimes it gets confusing because the new student is on their roster for sometimes a couple months before that child starts. We have some children that we know will start at a later date but we have all their other paper work in. Right now, the teachers just don't click anything for their attendance until they are to start, but not sure if that affects anything else for that child in TC.

Would also like this as we sometimes have children join midway through the year (Jan or Feb start), especially in the toddler and younger Casa levels. Would be useful to have the parents complete forms, etc but be able to not have them active in the class lists until start date.
