Customize proficiencies (Introduced/Practiced/Mastered/Needs More)
The ability to customize what the proficiencies are per school.
For example, you might want:
After a student is given a "masterable" lesson, there is oftena period of practicing, then proficiency, before I would feel comfortable marking "mastered".
The continuum I think of is " presented, practicing, proficient, mastered"
or presented, developing, proficient / mastered. is there a way I can change the key to fit my sense of observation / assessment?
Is the "needs more work" equivalent to "practicing"?
Also, what is the distinction between a "masterable" lesson and an "ongoing" one?24 votesThis is now possible by customizing your lesson scale. See the email we just sent out, or read our blog at blog.transparentclassroom.com for more info.

Select multiple children not adjacent in grid view
I love the feature where you can quickly select several children for the same lesson in the grid view. Often, though, I don't give a small group presentation to children who are in a row in the records. It would be great to be able to hold down the shift/command key and then select the multiple children I need, and then mark whether it was a presentation or practice, etc.
8 votesIt is now possible to rearrange children by dragging their names. So the idea is to drag the children you want to mark so they are next to each other, then mark them, then drag another configuration together. The hope is that this makes it easy to serve groups but also allows groups to be fairly fluid.

create a lesson reference sheet that only shows lessons that are NOT mastered.
This will make it easier for elementary students and assistants to see which lessons need attention without having to sort through the lessons that are already mastered.

Make the flag automatically disappear if we mark a lesson as given.
That way we know it's been given and if we want to represent, we can purposely mark over a yellow or orange mark.
Many thanks for the changes that you made on the progress and plan pages -- i've been so busy lately I didn't get to email you until now. sorry!
1 voteActually, this already works this way. When you record a lesson, it removes the flag.

make it possible to mark all students "present", then edit specific children if needed
In one step, make all students present for the day, then simply edit ones who are late, sick, etc., since those are the exceptions. That way, we are not having to go through every step for every child every day to take attendance.
Thank you!14 votes -
Floating Save Button
It would be nice if there was a floating 'save' button in the progress + plan page as we are scrolling entering lessons given.

App for Transparent Classroom is gone from app store
Hey Jeremy,
I don't know if Marissa told you or not, but yesterday we deleted the app from the I pad because it still wasn't letting us sign in with our e-mail and password. After we deleted the app we tried to find it in the app store and it said that there was no name found under transparent classroom. I didn't know if you know why that is or if you could help me to get it back.
Thanks so much!!
~Hillary~1 voteActually, it is in the app store. I believe it’s listed as an iPhone app, so you have to search for iPhone apps not just iPad apps when you’re looking for it from an iPad. Let me know if you can’t find it that way.

Fix for the ipad
After the most recent upgrade on the iPad, entering lessons on the iPad isn't working fully. It gets stuck when choosing a material with multiple options. For example "geometrycabinet:" (basically any material that has the colon following it.

let information from one form populate other forms
for example, contact info can be entered automatically everywhere once it has been updated; basic information about one child can populate the same form about another child in the same family; parents can update as needed and teachers/staff can anticipate where responses should be different so those aren't carried over

correct attendance accuracy
Hi Jeremy. I work with Patty Herrera at Montessori Seeds of Education. I typically take attendance every day. I noticed that the totals for the tardys is not always accurate. This is not a pressing issue, but I would like it to be accurate before our first parent conferences at the end of October. Thank you. Wendy Amato
1 votelooks like we were double counting tardies when they had been clicked twice. that should no longer happen. Thanks for spotting it.

Allow the group headings to have a description.
For instance, with Writing in language, it could be explained how writing takes two paths, Mechanical and Compositional and how writing comes before reading in a Montessori environment because it is an expression of one's own thoughts.

have an additional Save button at the top of the Plan page
There only seems to be the one blue Save button at the very bottom of the Progress and Plan page. And several times I have forgotten to Save before switching pages, and then lost my changes and had to redo them. So either a reminder to Save before switching pages, or having the Save button at the top of the page, would be VERY helpful.

Progress page changes
On the progress page I think it would be nice if some sort of key was displayed on the page itself. I know there is a "key" link which brings up a popup but it's not completely obvious. Keep the popup link, as it can provide longer descriptions, but put something like "I - Introduced, N - Needs more" etc at the top of the page (maybe under "Child's Progress."
In the key, the order should maybe be in order of progression rather than alphabetical?
It would be nice if the sections on the page could be collapsed and expanded…

give number of observations given per child
Hi,
I am missing the feature that showed how many photos/observations had been posted for each child per week. It had red green or yellow color coded boxes to show which children might need more attention. I loved the visual nature of that feature that allowed me to see how many updates each child had received. Thank you!

How do you switch order of lessons
I added Introduction to the Chequer Board because it comes before multiplication by one digit multiplier
1 voteThis is quite easy. Go to “Lessons”, then on the top right select “Organize”. From this view, you can drag + drop lessons to where you want them to be.

Provide a way to file photos into folders and how do I delete or send them off the site?
i would like to select multiple photos to go to a folder. Each class and child should have folders and we should not be searching through all photos. Now have 791 ! On 27 pages and we have just loaded in summer.
I would like to select a photo that is in the gallery and delete it.1 vote
