arranging groups within a group
I’m a brand new TC user, so I don’t have my app-specific vocabulary down yet…. but here goes.
I have created a new category in the lessons tab: pre-algebra. Inside that category, I have listed a number of individual lessons, as well as several subgroups that each include several lessons.
What I notice is that the app automatically moves these subgroups to the top of the list. This causes the subgroups to be out of sequential order in relation to the whole list of lessons.
I can rearrange the individual lessons within where they are gathered, and I can rearrange…

Option to change session names and dates to suit countries school year
We have been very excited to find a program like TC as there is nothing else like it available here in Australia. We would love it if there could be an option to change the session names and dates to suit our school year as we do not have a 'summer break', with our longer 6 week holidays being in December/January and our school year starting in February and ending in December with four 10 week 'terms' with two week breaks in between each. So instead of having say a '2016/2017' session we would have a '2016' and '2017' as…

add the practiced button for the A to I lessons
The children spend a lot of time repeating work and I often give the same lesson several times

"practiced" and "ongoing"
Hi,
On the progress and plan page... When entering status of a lesson/concept in individual student boxes, I only seem to be able to enter introduced, mastered, and needs more... all of which show us with successive clicks.
How do I make practiced and ongoing appear in those boxes?

Could you please enable the P blue function to work for all rows?

change wording
It would be helpful if the wording that goes home to parents regarding activity says "needs more practice" rather than just "needs more". We have had several parents contact us asking if they need to get more beads or cylinders for home, etc.
Thanks

Needs more and Practiced designations available simultaneously
As a teacher, I would like to designate "needs more" as a way to see who needs further instructions and "practiced" as a way to see who is practicing, but does not necessarily need further instruction on a topic

Add a button to return student names to chronological order
In the Progress and Plan view, when I move a student to be in a group with other students, there would be a way to automatically put the students back in chronological order.

Sort Children by Last Name
It would be nice to reorder or sort children in the class lists by their last name instead of by their first name. Everything else we do is ordered by last name first and then the child's first name.

Be able to record "improving" or "working on" for all lessons
For the sake of making lesson lists more useful for parent conference reports, please add the ability to record that a child has worked on a lesson. Otherwise, I end up reporting "multiplication" every single conference without showing any progression or reporting "needs work", which suggests a problem.

Add a "passed over" or "not applicable" proficiency
Let's say I have a child that has already mastered long multiplication, but never did, say, flat bead frame. I'd like to be able to block out flat bead frame on her progress page, so it doesn't look like a gap-to-be-filled-in, while also making clear that she never did the work (but no longer has a reason to do it).

on the Meetings page for an individual child, have the lesson box's dropdown only show children for whom the lesson is already planned.
I stumbled onto the 'Meetings' tab on the pages for individual Children. I LOVE that this could potentially be the bridge from recording student conferences to planning a balanced week of lessons for that child while simultaneously planning for the whole week for the class. I am so stoked!
I came across several bugs, however, when trying to use the Meetings page and dragging lessons to certain days. It would help a TON if the dropdown inside a lesson box only listed children that are already planned to receive it, with an option to type in a new name if…
3 votesNot exactly what you asked for, but thanks for the feedback. You now get a much easier to use dropdown and you can see which children have the lesson planned and choose them or children that don’t have the lesson planned. Check it out!

issue
i am new and want to use the tour feature, but..... the box that opens which then tells me what i can do on that page then encourages me to try it now by clicking on a box below..... Well, the only box below is Next which doesn't allow me to try it, it would seem that the instructions need to be refined to be more specific when giving directions.
1 voteMaybe we should change the wording. We just mean click on the square in the grid below.
Go ahead and try it!

can you fix sign out error
Our parents signed their children out today, but none registered on Transparent Classroom. I signed everyone out at the end of the day. Is there another way I can retrieve the parents signatures?

list birthdates under age
It would be great to have fast access to birthdates when you click on a child's profile. I suggest listing them directly under the age.

Make it possible to split one lesson into multiple groups of children
As an elementary guide, I often give a lesson to several different small groups. In order to make the "by day" lesson plan work, it would be really helpful to be able to split on lesson into two groups of children, scheduled for different days/times.
4 votesThis is now done. You can drag a child to a new day, or add the same lesson on a new day and “gather” the child to it by selecting the child from the dropdown.

Have a default conference report selection by level
We have created a conference report form for each level - toddlers, CH, lower el and upper el. When a teacher goes in to create a conference report, if they aren't paying attention it is easy for them to create a report for the wrong level since it defaults to children's house for every teacher. Can we somehow indicate which level each form is for so that when a CH teacher creates a conf report, it defaults to the right report for them?
1 voteOur current answer for this is to show the last conference report created for the child. It’s not a complete solution, but getting a more complete solution correct would be very complicated and possibly confusing.
