As a parent, I want to start a discussion around a note / picture with a teacher.
Perhaps I can leave a comment. Comments perhaps rise to the top of the page for teachers? Maybe there is an idea of a TODO section w/ comments and untagged photos?

Update Application
Application makes the assumption that Parent/Guardian 1 is the Mother and Parent/Guardian 2 is the father. Under P/G1 it asks or the mother's email and under P/G2 it asks for father's email.

An area that is a private journal. So it does not show in lessons and not does it show to parents.
I like to be able to keep a journal of the day, the weather, how the day went, what songs I sung, what we did at circle time etc. I would love this to be in Transparent Classroom because I love this software!

Lesson Plan Print outs
Transparent Classroom:
Could the lesson plan box template include the option to color code the lessons by color (i.e. practical life is green, literacy is blue, math is red, etc.)?
Would like the ability to put the same lesson on multiple days of the week (i.e. if a student has a lesson that they need to repeat daily or three days a week)
Would like to add in a calendar for daily observation and assessment (i.e. student conferencing calendar for who to meet with each day and ability to put in note on why meeting)

Can we enable presentations from all planes to be made available for planning and recording for children that are advanced/behind?
Can presentations from the each plane be available to allow for accurate record keeping to take place for students who cross over between planes. For example some students in the class (i.e. 3-6) may be completing lessons from the next plane (6-12 years) but currently we can't find a way of recording this information if they are still enrolled in a lesson set.

Adding a STAFF ONLY option to the forms.
We have transitioned our enrollment contracts/forms to TC. To further the streamlining, it would be useful to have one contract with a STAFF ONLY option to select between the different levels. For instance, one contract and the admin only can select the level of contract the child will be offered.

Allow teachers to choose lessons from more than one level ie. Primary & LE
Our Elementary teachers are inputting many lessons that are built into the Primary curriculum in TC. Is there a way to merge or for them to have access to both?

photo count on photo albums
I used Montessori Compass for a while, and I did like how there was a Photo page where each child had an album but on the front of the album it show how many pictures that child had (or were new). it was helpful. This is the one feature I miss from Mont compass, but I'm loving all the other features and ease of transparent classroom.

Please add the option for a parent/guardian e-signature on the application form.
Currently, there is not an option to add a parent e-signature on the application form. We are required to have a signature. It would be great for this button to be added so that we can add it to our form.

When a child is not in the classroom per their usual weekly schedul
For example, when a child only comes Monday Tuesday Wednesday, then reflect that attendance on The Daily Tracking tab, having that child listen at the bottom because they are not in school for the

allow for a series of photos to be grouped into one activity post/observation about a work cycle
As is currently stands, you can only post one picture per activity report. However, it is useful at times to have three photos grouped for one observation in the activity feed. I.e. "Child shows ability to carry tray to table, do work, reset tray and return tray to shelf" with 1 photo of the child carrying the tray, 1 photo of them working and 1 photo of them returning the tray all in one post rather than creating 3 separate posts. This is especially important in Toddler where complete work cycles are a big challenge. We need the ability to…

Have a "Not Returning" option on the applications page
We are accepting applications for 2018/19 and it would be useful, in the applications page, to mark students who are not returning as such. At the moment those who aren't returning look the same as those who haven't replied.

provide a way to keep qualitative observations separate from lesson entries.
I would love to be able to see the qualitative observations that I post (where no lesson is tagged) separately from the lesson list in a child's activity feed. For example, if I make a note that so-and-so is consistently not eating his or her lunch or so-and-so is frequently toe-walking - I'd like to keep those in a separate area.

Within the parent directory, having an option with parent information that allows easy access for volunteering when we are short staffed, holiday programs, etc.

Lessons Given Report
A report of lessons that have been given with children underneath. Similar to the report of lesson reference sheet but instead of being organized by child, organized by lesson.

Ability to easily upload documents--from OTs, STs, Devopmental Psych Evals, etc.
We'd love to have a way to easily upload outside evaluations--from OTs, STs, Developmental Psych eval, etc. As children transition to the next level/new teacher, it would be nice to be able to access those documents from TC. We always have hard copies, but we don't generally want the child's folder to travel far, least it get lost. Having those important files in TC in a digital format would give the receiving teacher time to look through them at home or over the summer.

Make the admins be able to view a particular day's activity as a summary of what has transpired.
I would want a day view for which we can view a particular day and everything that has transpired for that day as a review of particular school days in a given year. For those of us with access to multiple classrooms, this will be greatly appreciated.

make it easy to see who is in a class on a daily basis
It would be useful to be able to have the same color coded graph that is used on the application screen on a day to day basis. The children at our school don't all come Monday - Friday, some come M,W,F, some T, Th etc, so being able to see at a glance how many children are in a particular class on a particular day would be very helpful. Also to be able to report on that would be good.
