Receive notification when links to PDFs are updated.
AWS (I'm assuming) updated the links for the PDFs that I've saved on TC and included in different forms I need from parents. It'd be great if I knew when that happened in real time because now, I am hearing from parents that I have all of these broken links. I must now go in and delete each individual child's form, and re-request it. Luckily we're one classroom at the moment, but as we grow, this will not be a tenable means of operating if it happens with any frequency.

Export Forms
Being able to export student/parent information as spreadsheet would be very useful. I use TC to collect family info, but then may need that in other applications. A quick export of, say, the enrollment form of all my current families would be helpful.

IN Announcements, can the first field be blank so that the contributor is forced to fill in ?

In Announcements, can the audience field be left empty, as a default? Currently, the first audience it lists is 'whole school' and oftentimes an announcement will accidentally go out to the whole school rather than the intended classroom. thanks.1 vote -
add more details to childs profile
can we add a check box to a child's profile for 1) if they participate in the school lunch programme (regular or vegetarian or vegan or gluten free, dairy free)
2) if they participate in the afterschool care programme (adhoc or daily)

Edit/Change Your Home Screen
Make the home screen editable, so that schools can personalize it themselves. This feature would include being able to change the font, quote on the home screen, and colors.

Voice Dictation for Daily tracking
Can we use voice dictation to take children's daily tracking and observation notes in TC? Daily tracking with diapering and Toileting will be beneficial , so the iPad is not taken inside the bathroom.

Annual Plans
We love the planning tools available on TC. They allow us to plan, yet allowing for flexibility so we can follow each child.
In a similar context, our teachers also prepare an annual plan, which serves as a guide to ensure that we are covering a wide variety of concepts across the year. This also allows us to plan for concepts keeping in mind the outside world - work of water during the monsoons, for example. As is with weekly plans, this serves as a guide, and we are always flexible.
What goes in the annual plan, is chapter names…

Messaging parents: We still have to keep brightwheel, because we need a good messaging system with the parents. It is great to be able to message a parent, and have the teacher, assistant, and admin all be able to see the message and answer.

Link attachment file within Article
I have been trying to link to an attached pdf in our Welcome Employees Article. However, I cannot unless the pdf is saved as an unlisted folder. It would be really helpful to redirect a file that is within the article. I sent an email and they said it is not an option but to suggested it as a feathure. I am not a huge fan of the unlisted files because it is a dumping ground for all files and just makes things cluttered. Linking a file that is already "attached" in the article would a huge improvement.

"Relationship to Child" on Parent Profiles
I'd like to suggest adding a "Relationship to Child" field on the Parent profile page. This feature would display information such as whether the contact is a mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, guardian, step-parent, etc., alongside their phone number and email address.
Why This Would Be Helpful:
Currently, to find out a parent's relationship to a child, staff memebers need to search through "general forms," which can be time-consuming, especially in urgent situations. Having this information easily accessible would streamline communication and make interactions more efficient. It would also be nice to have a way to mark the "primary" contact.…15 votes -

Daily Tracking Trends Over Time
Seeing "Daily Tracking" over time; a week, amonth, a month, a year, would help notice a child's concentration/efforts to help teachers recognize behavioral trends. Without this it is impossible to track their ups or downs over time. What is the purpose to take the data if you can't analyse the trends?

Siblings or Oldest/Youngest Child in a Family Report
We would love to be able to pull a Siblings report, or Oldest/Youngest Child in a Family report. This would be super helpful as we send out communications (such as a Volunteer Hour Tracking form) that covers all students in the family, not just one. This would help streamline and ensure that we are not receiving more responses than required, and also help for tracking purposes. In my previous school, siblings were grouped by a common parent phone number. I hope this is a feature that can be added in the near future. Thank you!
