For example, I would like to note the followup that they chose to do and when they plan to turn it in. Could be a comment box next to the lesson that does not go to a specific child. I could also write down things I think went well with the lesson and things I might do differently next time I present it.

In order to do this, I would use the activity page. On the activity page, you can enter the child’s name, enter the lesson, and enter any and all details you would like to include. It’s quite fast, try it out.

You can still do it from the activity page. If it's not related to a student, you can just tag the lesson #mylesson ...
If on the other hand it _is_ related to a student but you don't want it to show up for parents, you can make it a private post.
Basically, there is no other place to put information about record keeping at the moment. EVERYTHING is an observation. You can enter them by typing, or by clicking on the grid view.

I do not want to have it on the activity page of any children. The information is for me about the group's follow up and MY own lesson comments.
