Planning function
Feedback on the Planning Function in Transparent Classroom
I have been missing a feature that would allow me to plan presentations for the coming weeks without having to decide in advance which students will participate in each presentation.
I find that Transparent Classroom works very well as a record-keeping and tracking tool, but I feel that it could be further developed as a planning tool.
In a Montessori environment, we often need to plan what we intend to present during the week without necessarily knowing which students will be ready for or receive that presentation. The decision is often made in the moment, based on the children’s readiness and needs.
At the moment, I have found a workaround: I created a fictional student and use this student when planning presentations in the weekly plan. Once I have given the presentation and know which students participated, I add those students to the weekly plan and mark them as having received the presentation.
I would therefore really appreciate it if the planning section of Transparent Classroom could be developed further, so that we can plan presentations and activities without having to assign them to specific students in advance, and then record the actual participants afterwards.
I believe this would make Transparent Classroom an even more useful tool for Montessori teachers and would better reflect how Montessori planning works in practice.
