Change Immunization Format
Immunization records are challenging in Kentucky because some of them require 4 shots, unless the doctor used a certain formula then the number of doses is less.
Not to mention how time consuming it is to enter each child's set of shots.
A solution is to only need to enter the date of expiration from the immunization certificate. As that date approaches a notice is provided, when the date passes an expiration notice is provided.
Schools don't need to know which individual shot is needed, that's the pediatrician's role. We just need to know when a certificate is expiring or has expired.
I'm happy to discuss over the phone if I wasn't clear.
Thanks.
