This would work for something like "circle time", or if you have, for example, a PM class of K-preparation. Ideally you would establish your groups, how often they ocur, plan what will be happening there - which will include a mixture of curriculum lessons and non curriculum themes which should be write in (or maybe a non school wide but teacher specific curriculum "area"). Then you mark attendance for your small group and any associated curriculum lessons appear as presented / introduced. All activity associated with said group / circle time will then appear in each of the children's timelines, the general classroom activity, and any generated reports involving either the children who attended or the whole classroom.

So, real life example. I should be able to set up that my classroom has 2 circle times per day, M-Fri. One more group time "after lunch bunch" Tues-Thurs. And an additional "Cooking activity" and "Art project" on Fri. After setting these up I would be able to plan all of them for the next week or month. Say tomorrow morning's circle time is going to be a land-water-air curriculum lesson, we're going to talk about Hannukah (which I might tag as a cultural lesson, but mostly I am going to want Hannukah to appear in any reports associated with this), present the dreidel game, and sing "Mr. Sun". All that should be able to be entered in the planning part. Then after circle I will be able to edit what happened (say we changed something), and specify which of the children attended. This activity (Circle 1) will appear on the classroom's activity page, and the children who attended will have it show up in their timelines, and any curriculum lessons show as Introduced).
